Producing all of Harrods current publishing portfolio, including colour management and e-commerce retouching for its Fine Watches and Jewellery departments.

Problem

This world-renowned luxury retailer required a production solution that could support high-quality publications whilst also delivering enough flexibility to drive economies in both the short and longer term. Aware of our industry-leading technology platforms, Harrods approached Rhapsody to deliver a cost-effective Pre-media service which was more adaptable to their requirements.

Solution

Following in-depth discussions with the client to understand every aspect of their requirements, Rhapsody’s dedicated account manager and IT team utilised our unique Engine technology, colour management and retouching skills, to produce Harrods titles which could either be viewed by the client online (via Engine) or as certified hard copy proofs.

Result

Rhapsody has produced a portfolio of publications which have been well received by the Harrods team. Indeed the client praised Rhapsody for our hard work in ensuring a seamless transition from previous processes and systems to working with our in-house technology.

Our Engine content management platform, elite technology, developed in-house by Rhapsody’s expert IT team, was essential to the success of this project. The client also required excellent account management from Rhapsody to keep them abreast of project progress on a day-to-day basis, alongside first class colour management and retouching services to ensure the final publications looked as luxurious as possible.

Embracing Engine

To enable the Harrods team to feel comfortable with using Engine, we created test flatplans that allowed them to explore all the functions of the program before entering into live production. Within days of introducing the Harrods team to our unique software, they used it to produce their first two titles without any major issues, which speaks volumes about the intuitive functionality of the Engine program.
